Investment onboarding UX design preview
The Problem

During research, I found that many users hesitate to explore investment platforms because onboarding flows often feel complex and overwhelming. Users are frequently asked for personal details before understanding the product’s value. This increases cognitive load, reduces trust, and leads to early drop-offs.

The Solution

I designed a value-first, step-by-step onboarding experience that explains the investment offering before collecting personal information. The flow reduces friction, builds trust gradually, and keeps users focused with one decision per screen.

The Design Process

Phase 1
Research

Studied fintech onboarding flows to identify friction points such as early data requests and long forms.

Phase 2
Flow Design

Structured a clear progression: Goal → Amount → Email → Confirmation, ensuring simplicity and focus.

Phase 3
UI Design

Designed clean, trust-focused interfaces with strong hierarchy, minimal inputs, and clear CTAs.

Designing for Trust & Clarity

The onboarding flow is intentionally linear and distraction-free. Each screen focuses on one action to reduce cognitive overload.

Value is communicated before asking for personal data, helping users feel confident and in control.

Progressive disclosure ensures information is collected step-by-step, avoiding overwhelm and increasing completion likelihood.

Key Outcomes

The final experience balances trust, clarity, and conversion. By simplifying the onboarding journey and minimizing friction, users can explore investment options without feeling pressured or confused.
